The best day in education happened last year with my students. I decided to take them on a field trip to a farm because we were learning about farm animals. We had spent 2 weeks reading books about farm animals, watching videos about farm animals (like this one Farm Animals), and doing writing assignments about farm animals. I wanted to do something more hands-on and "real" so I made arrangements for a field trip. When the kids got there, they were absolutely mesmerized. They got to milk a cow, hold baby chicks, feed goats, and a whole lot more. They learned so much and I was so glad they got to experience this. When they got back to school, they could not stop talking about everything they learned and the fun they had. Just being able to see them like this made this the best day.
